Tamarack Creek, Yosemite
I
made this image in April 2000 while spending the month as an
artist-in-residence in Yosemite. This is a stream called Tamarack Creek which is right next to Cascade Creek. In fact they come together just below this point. As Highway 120 nears the
intersection with Highway 140 there is a bridge which goes over Cascade
Creek. One can park there and walk down a hill to the creek. The cameras
were a pair of 4x5 film cameras that I made out of wood. The lenses
were 120mm which is somewhat wide-angle for a 4x5 camera. The camera
separation was about 6 inches. I don't remember what the shutter speed
was but I'm sure it was at least 10 seconds.
